Day 01: Pick Up from Airport – Check into your Hotel
On this first day, get into the mood to travel as we receive you and bring you to your chosen accommodation – an urban city beach hotel in Kuta/Legian or a luxury beach hotel in Seminyak/Nusa Dua depending on your choice. The city is all yours today – enjoy an evening stroll to the shopping centres, catch the local vibe at a pub, or visit the beaches. Be spoilt for choice as you check out surf spots, beachside food joints and clubs or have a relaxed meal at your hotel if you like to take it slow.
Kids want to get started ASAP? Feel like shedding the blacks and greys in your wardrobe? Forgot your charger at home? Can’t wait to see what Balinese Art looks like?
If you are in Legian, kick start your Bali tour with some cool photo ops for children of all ages at the DMZ Bali 3D Art Museum. Visit Garlic Lane where you can buy breezy, colourful clothes and souvenirs as well as utility items for your trip. Dig into street food at Jalan Padma or visit the theMertaNadi Art Market on Jalan Melasti.
At Seminyak, you can hop over to the Tilo Kids Club for an hour or two of fun for the little ones. Head over to the Seminyak Flea Market for some unique finds. Seminyak Square is also a good place to pick up clothes and curios or just relax over a cup of coffee. The art scene here is amazing with galleries like the Nyaman and Purpa Art Gallery.
Or simply take the day slow and relax at one of the nearby beaches – all a stone’s throw away from the comfort of your room.

Day 2: Pura Tanah Lot Visit &Uluwatu Temple
Start the day on a positive note by visiting Pura Tana Lot – one of Bali’s most famous sea temples. Be ready with your camera for wonderful photos. Get the Bali vibe at tropical gardens and resting spots on the way to the temple, browse souvenir stalls, paintings, and art sculptures at display, or enjoy traditional coconut-based snacks and drinks at the wayside shops. Despite the buzzing touristy crowd, the temple has immense spiritual significance for the Balinese. So, do be mindful that your clothes are culturally sensitive.
Later in the day, head to the southern tip of Bali to Uluwatu for a heady mix of culture and beachy vibes. Uluwatu beach is a happening surf spot, and the beach is also excellent. The Sundays Beach Club and the epic Garuda WisnuKencana Cultural Park are experiences that you should not miss.
Atop a hill right at that tip perches the Uluwatu temple – one of the most important and spectacular houses of worship in Bali. Just an hour away from Kuta, this ancient temple is rich in architectural splendour and steeped in myth.

Day 3: Ubud
Enjoy the best of Balinese cuisine with a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel before you check out and hit the road to Ubud. Set in the interior of the country, Ubud in the Balinese uplands is a town surrounded by deep ravines and gorgeous paddy fields. Nature and culture go hand in hand here, as does adventure and pure fun.
Get in touch with your spiritual self at one of Ubud’s numerous spiritual retreats. Fancy monkeying around a bit? The experience that awaits you at the Ubud Monkey Forest is sure to be unbeatable. Watch the Balinese long-tailed macaque in its natural habitat at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary which is home to over a 1000 monkeys belonging to six groups.
Walk the contemporary boutique, guesthouse and restaurant-lined Jalan Raya Ubud or the Campuhan Ridge Walk, which is a 9-km free and easy nature trek. The Blanco Renaissance Museum, home and studio of the late Philippine-born maestro, Don Antonio Blanco, is a tribute to art in Bali. Buy or rent a sash and sarong and drop in to see the Taman Saraswati Temple with its lotus-lush entrance. Don’t forget the camera here.
Soar to the skies on an iconic Bali swing, check out the Tegallalang Rice Paddies, or shop for curios and souvenirs at the Ubud market. The architectural delights of Elephant Cave and Ubud Palace is sure to appeal to the art lover in you, not to mention offering the perfect backdrop for those Instagram stories. Right opposite the Ubud Palace is the Ubud Art Market where you can buy beautiful silk scarves, lightweight shirts, statues, kites, handmade woven bags, baskets or hats and many other hand-crafted goods to support the local community.
In the afternoon, catch the Bali Agung Show - a theatrical art performance that retells a Balinese legend through the help of dance, costumes, music, and modern light and sound arrangements.
Stroll around the open-air museum of Taman Nusa Cultural Park – 45 minutes from Ubud. The 10-hectare site has more than 60 authentic traditional houses in their recreated compound settings, giving you a fascinating glimpse into the way of lives and cultures of Indonesia’s many ethnic groups.
Ubud is dotted with ancient temples, villages, and carved memorials. There are also art museums like the Museum Rudana, Neka Art Museum, ARMA, Gedong Arca Museum, and the Setia Darma House of Masks & Puppets. Take a relaxed walk and drop into these gems as you come across them.
Kids can have a bash at the ecotourism centre at Bali Eco Adventure Bayad with its guided treks and labyrinth visits or at the Bali Bird Walk. Family fun is up for grabs at the Tegenungan Waterfall where a rolling river gushes over a precipice lined with dense foliage.
A popular, yet offbeat thing to do is taking a class one of the culinary schools in the region. Learn authentic Balinese cooking, mostly from a typical Balinese family. Keep in mind, though, that the sessions tend to be long, and if you are a first timer in Ubud, you may have to miss many of the other wonderful sites here. But if you have already been here and is looking to know Bali deeper, then this might just be the thing for you.
The day promises to be packed with delights that you can pick and choose, and you can wind down in the comfort of your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Day 4: Ubud to Mount Batur
Get back on the thrilling ride that is your Bali holiday. After breakfast at your hotel, head on a drive to Mount Batur in the Kintamani region.
A sunrise hike up Mount Batur is one of the best things to do in Bali. Tuck into breakfast after an exhilarating climb that opens some of the region’s most scenic vistas. Soak in the healing powers of the Batur volcano hot springs in Toyabungkah. Take a boat ride on Lake Batur and relax in the cool blues and greens of the lake. Snap a few pictures against the incredible backdrop of the black lava from the active volcano.
Spend the afternoon biking over the region known for its mind-blowing views of both mountain and lake. Hulundanu Temple, one of the oldest temples in Bali, is in this region. There is a bat cave nearby, and if you are an animal lover, the bat colony will surely be worth a visit.
Want to be lucky in love? Do not forget to visit the Love Trees in Pinggan village, which are supposed to bring positivity to your relationship. A short distance away, the Jatiluwih rice terraces are most famous for their dramatic and exotic landscapes. The highland scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru is completely instagrammable and gives you a break from the island’s crowded south.
Waterfalls are North Bali’s favourite beauty spots and the Banyumala Twin Waterfall, Munduk Waterfall, and a couple of lesser-known ones as all within a half-hour drive from each other.
As the day winds down, if all the beauty of the land and the sea is not enough, spend some time in tents near Mount Batur where the absence of light pollution allows you to see the stars as you have never seen them before.

Day 5: Ubud to Canggu
If it was nature yesterday, it is culture today – and uber young chill vibes at that. After breakfast at your hotel, whirr over to Canggu – a hip little town that is popular among young travelers, surfers, and digital nomads. There are countless hipster cafes, fantastic restaurants, yoga studios, and loads of creative inspiration. Get that journal or sketchbook out if you must. Or just put up your feet and smile.
The locals say that Canggu is relaxing where Ubud is vibrant. Head over to Echo Beach or have a drink at the iconic Old Man’s bar on the Batu Bolong Beach. Be here at the right time on the right day, and you can shop at the La Laguna gypsy market which is famous for its music, décor, and splendid shopping. The weekly organic market near Echo Beach is on every Sunday for everyone who likes fresh, healthy and creative. The small market offers local fruits and vegetables, music, baked treats, fresh juices, and organic coffees and chocolates.
If you are a foodie, particularly a vegan, you will not be found wanting in options here. Explore the area from Jalan Pantai Pererenan to Jalan Raya Seseh for the best ricefield views. Day 6: Ubud to Giyanyar
Tuck into a hearty breakfast at your hotel before heading out to Giyanyar Regency.
Delight the family with visits to the Bali Bird Park and Zoo. Get close with birds and animals in specially designated feeding zones. Visit Kampung Sumatra that offers an exciting dining experience with orangutans. Additionally, you can take photographs with friendly orangutans or take a half-hour elephant ride around the forest and across the river.
The Air TerjunTegenungan or Tegenungan Falls in Banjar Tegenungan is where you are welcomed with a scenic view of wide waterfalls. The fresh and pleasant atmosphere is sure to refresh the most weary traveller.
Before you return to the hotel for a night of blissful sleep, be sure to sample delicacies like the Nasi Tepeng, Topot, and Nasi TahuGianyar.
Day 7: Ubud to Bedugul
Beat the heat and humidity of Bali by taking a mountain retreat. Allow yourself to be whisked away to Bedugul to see the wonders on offer.
Pura Ulun Danu, a unique Hindu temple, is positioned on two small islands in the middle of Lake Bratan. Schedule a dawn visit to the temple for the serene views of temple and mountains reflected in the waters of the lake. Visit a traditional market and shop as the locals do. Vanilla beans, flowers, spices, and strawberries – a number of delicacies are simply waiting for you at these delightfully bustling places. Candikuning market (pasar Candikuning) is a favourite among travellers and you’ll find plenty of touristy souvenirs, cheap clothing, and local crafts.
In the mood for a gorgeous walk through rainforests, conifer groves, palms, and lush tree ferns? The Bali Botanical Garden offers that and more. With nearly 160 hectares and about 17,000 plants originating from Eastern Indonesia, the institution works in research, conservation, education and recreation. The three serene crater lakes of Tamblingan, Buyan and Bratan are a traveller’s dream with something for everyone. Relax in a cabin by the lake, get the field glasses out and go birding, swim, parasail, jetski, canoe, fish, or simply sail a boat on the lake, or hike through the surrounding pine forests.
Day 8: Nusa Dua or Seminyak
Nusa Dua, located on Bali’s south-eastern peninsula, is the perfect family destination.
A should-not-miss activity at Nusa Dua is the Devdan Show. The 90-minute dance show titled “Treasure of the Archipelago” tells the magical story of two children as they travel through Bali, Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Papua through rumbling earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and pouring rain along the way. Other options for family fun include making a splash at Surf & Turf, living your fantasy of being Captain Jack at Pirates Bay Bali, checking out the amazing art at Museum Pasifica, or hitting one of the many beaches of Nusa Dua. If you are religiously minded, you may consider spending time at Puja Mandala where five different places of worship stand harmoniously side-by-side.
There is adventure to be had at Nusa Dua, the veritable home of Bali’s water sport options. Jet skiing, parasailing, or swimming – Nusa Dua’s sandy beaches and sparkling blue waters are simply fabulous. The latest thrill is flyboarding, and Nasa Dua has several places where you can try it out. It is also the perfect spot for a romantic dinner on the beach.
Tired of all the aquatic activities that only swimmers can do? Then try the underwater scooter at Pantai Melasti, and explore the corals, colorful fishes, and other sea creatures. There are also several dive sites where you can go seawalking among the reefs. Sunbathe on PanteiGeger, climb up to the beautiful temple of Pura Geger, or watch the waves shoot into the air at Water Blow. Explore GunungPayungBeach Several of the beaches have camel rides, some of which include a concluding lunch or dinner as well. A package at the Nusa Dua Golf and Country Club will be ideal for anyone who enjoys golf.
Day 09
Farther afield, a short boat ride from Nusa Dua will take you to Serangan or Turtle Island that houses the Serangan Turtle Island Conservation Centre dedicated to taking care of injured turtles and releasing them back into the wild. The attached hatchery has cute baby turtles who present a truly heartwarming sight.
As far as the cuisine goes, Bali is famous for pork and one of the best places to try the iconic pork dish Bali Guling is the WarungDobiel in Nasa Dua.
Seminyak is Bali’s luxury capital. The beaches are beautiful, the clubs throb with music, and the food is delicious. If it is a lazy day that you fancy, relax by the poolside at the Potato Head Beach Club - one of the happening places in Seminyak that has a large infinity pool and beach front covered in bean bags and sun loungers, check out the varieties of coffee on offer at the Revolver, have a massage – maybe even a family massage – at Bodyworks or one of the many spas in town, and spend the evening at Ku De Ta. Craving some happening nightlife? The SkyDome Superclub with its seven venues sprawled out over five floors is where you can jive the night away. Or let your hair down at BaliJoe’s – a truly inclusive nightclub where the LGBTQ+ community is welcomed with open arms.
If you are still in the mood for adventure and activity, try scuba diving at Adventure Scuba Diving Bali or hit one of the surf spots at Seminyak beach while the kids would love the pony rides on offer there. Take the beachy vibes further at the Double Six Beach and round off your day by gorging on lipsmacking street food at Eat Street.
There is more culture, history, and tales from long ago that you can enjoy. The Seminyak Yoga Shala is a great place on the central artery of Jalan Seminyak where you can purchase a day pass and enjoy a destress session first thing in the morning. You may get your system fired up for a day of exploration by checking out the raw food café on the premises. Visit Pura Petitenget – the sea temple - and Pura Masceti – an agrarian temple where the Balinese pray for protecting their crops and before the start of anything good. Soak in the peace that exudes from the Santo Mikael Church with its brilliant architecture and lush gardens. If Balinese puppets have caught your eye, then know more at the Theatre Art Gallery that showcase the beautiful Indonesian wayang puppets used for traditional Balinese shows.
Got some last-minute shopping to do? Pick up souvenirs at the Oberoi Flea Market with its colorful array of merchandise or go shopping on Jalan Laksmana lined with shops that sell designer clothing and luxurious traditional crafts to streetside vendors and food joints. There is something for everyone in this stretch. Delight friends and family back home with thoughtful and unique gifts.
